Birth Companion is provided by Marina Seppä, a sole trader registered in Finland (Business ID 2898679-9), Hiihtomäentie 31 A 4, 00800 Helsinki, Finland. When you use Birth Companion you are entering into an agreement with Marina Seppä. You can reach us at marina.seppa@gmail.com.
By creating an account or continuing to use Birth Companion, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You confirm that you are of legal age in your country, or that you use the service with the consent of a guardian.
Birth Companion is a digital service offering educational and wellbeing content for pregnancy: daily affirmations, breathing and relaxation practices, guided audio recordings, week-by-week information, journaling and birth preparation material. Access is provided online through the web app.
Birth Companion provides educational and wellbeing content only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from your midwife, doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. Always consult a healthcare professional about your pregnancy, your health, your baby and any symptoms you experience. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services or maternity unit immediately.
We make no promises or guarantees about pregnancy, labour, birth outcomes, health outcomes, medical results, or how you will feel. Nothing in the service should be read as a claim that any practice will produce a particular outcome. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read or heard in Birth Companion.
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity carried out through your account. Please give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else is using your account.
You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:
All content in Birth Companion — text, audio recordings, illustrations, software, structure and branding, including the Inner Garden Method — remains the property of Marina Seppä or her licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and its content for your own personal, non-commercial use within the plan you have chosen. Anything you write in your journal remains yours; you grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display it back to you as part of the service.
Birth Companion offers a free plan, a premium monthly subscription (€14.90 per month) and a premium lifetime purchase (€99 one-time, launch offer). The prices shown are the final prices presented to you at checkout and include VAT. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and applies the transaction taxes applicable to your location. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page. The monthly subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it; lifetime access is a single payment with no renewal.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, invoicing, tax and cancellation mechanics are handled by Paddle and are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy. We may change our prices for the future; a change never affects a lifetime purchase you have already made, and subscription price changes are announced before they apply to you.
Lifetime access means permanent access to the standard Birth Companion Premium product for as long as the service is operated, including the normal ongoing updates and additions to Premium content. It does not automatically include future separately monetised products, services, live programmes, courses or add-ons that we may offer alongside the app.
We work to keep Birth Companion available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. We may update, change or discontinue features, and we may carry out maintenance that temporarily limits access.
You may stop using Birth Companion at any time and delete your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access in the event of material breach of these terms, non-payment, fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious misuse. If we end your access without cause, we will refund the unused part of a subscription period you have paid for. When your account ends, your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Finnish law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are heard by the courts of Finland. As a consumer, you may also bring your matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
